Government brings forward plans to stop the manufacture of diesel and petrol cars

The government announced on the 12^th February 2020 that they are bringing the date forward in respect of the stopping the manufacture of diesel and petrol cars. At the moment itâ€™s the following:

The forthcoming ban on the sale of new petrol and diesel cars and vans, including hybrids, could come as early as 2032, the transport secretary has said. Grant Shapps told BBC Radio 5 Live that a consultation on the ban will look at the date, explaining that it will come into effect somewhere between 2032 and 2035.
