This time with the provision of a 17 seat Fiat Ducato based mini bus. We converted the Fiat Ducato to accommodate a maximum of 4 wheelchairs. For over 30 years FACTS have provided vital transport links for individuals in their community with physical, cognitive or sensory impairments which limit or restrict their ability to use public transport. This is certainly the case with FACTS new community transport. With the passengers needs at the heart of this Mini Bus, an underfloor wheelchair lift is fitted for ease of regular on/off of wheelchair using commuters. There are other lift types available but through understanding FACTS specific needs the underfloor lift offered the best solution in terms of weight, passenger capacity and ease of operator use. We like to view each customer as a long-term partner. We were grateful for the loyalty FACTS showed by approaching Mini Bus World first when considering adding another Mini Bus to their fleet. We also understood that having continued operating through the Pandemic that it had put financial restraints on their budget. These restrictions made what was available to what was affordable limited and potentially jeopardised FACTS purchase.
