In our opinion the UK’s best theme park for big thrill rides. Set in stunning countryside, the resort is accessible, great for school trips, groups and clubs. More than just a theme park, Alton Towers has grown over the years to be a full resort with hotels, conferencing, events and more. We still think ‘Oblivion’ is the best ride for thrills!
On a more sombre note, set in 150 acres the Arboretum pays tribute to those who have served and continue to do so. With 400 memorials, Chapel, Restaurant and Retail, it is a unique, moving and educational experience. Admission is free, but you have to pay to park your Minibus.
Don’t let the British weather get you down, Waterworld can be found in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent and is open all year round. With 30 Rides, Mini Golf, Restaurant, Fitness Club and Spa and nearby hotel, Waterworld is the UK’s number one aqua park.

The Roaches (which translates from the French ‘roches’) literally means rocks. So if you’re up for a hike with rewarding views over Staffordshire and Tittesworth Reservoir, this is the place. On a clear day you can also see Jodrell Bank! There’s a variety of walks for those of all abilities, and if you’re lucky you can park your Minibus for free. There’s a popular tea shop, occasional ice cream van but the real attraction is the countryside.
