The Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA) is part of the Department for Transport and is responsible for overseeing and certificating all vehicle manufacturing including conversions. Minibus World obtains approvals in one of two ways.
Firstly the majority of our Minibuses are manufactured in line with the GB Small Series Type Approval (GBSSTA) which covers up to 250 vehicles per annum. As a result Minibus World hold a Conformity of Production (CoP) issued by the VCA, acknowledging and confirming we manufacture repetitively to the required specification.
Secondly, for custom conversions Minibus World apply for an Individual Vehicle Approval (IVA) which is given to low production or one-off special commissions.
At Minibus World we take pride in the extra reassurance of passing some vehicles through the VCA process. This means our build quality and conformity is regularly checked and we are not solely reliant on the approval gained from a singular test vehicle.
Furthermore we submit our Minibuses to be inspected by Peugeot UK and Europe gaining their Technical Teams approval and certifying as “Peugeot Approved Minibuses”.
This has since led to the parent company of Peugeot, Stellantis also vetting our vehicles. Minibus World again achieved the enviable position of being approved, allowing us to produce approved Minibuses on Vauxhall, Citroen and Fiat platforms.
So when we say our Minibuses are approved, we do so with great confidence. As a result we offer our new Minibuses with a three-year conversion warranty to accompany the manufacturer warranty. Plus for used Minibuses we offer up to two years warranty.
We understand every customer has unique requirements and at Minibus World we are big enough to be market leading, but remain flexible in our approach. We manufacture each Minibus to our customers individual needs, or adapt the vehicle if already built.
