At Minibus World we categorise a Small Minibus as one that is approximately 5m in length, or just over 16 feet in old money. That makes it about as long as a Mercedes E Class or BMW 5 Series – so a Minibus most people can feel confident about driving. In technical terms the size is referred to as an ‘L1’ or an ‘L2’.
Small Minibus
The layout is typically three seats up front, two passengers and driver, and then two rows of three in the back. You enter the back through a sliding door, folding one of the first-row seats back on itself to access the second row. In addition there is a rear door for emergency exit and to store luggage.
If you ever order a taxi for more than four people, or to take you to the airport, more than likely you have travelled in a Small Minibus. Their compact size makes them a popular choice with Private Hire companies around the globe.
Because of the compact dimensions, if your organisation does not have a designated Minibus driver this is a vehicle that can be driven by anyone on a standard driving licence*. As a result it is probably the most flexible (for the driver) minibus that we offer.
Smaller passenger numbers and occasional use, it is a perfect choice of transportation.
The small Minibus ticks a lot of boxes. It is the entry level for Minibus ownership and provides good compromise between full-size Minibus and passenger vehicles.
