Small Accessible Minibus
The donor vehicle is typically a nine-seat minibus, a Ford Tourneo or Mercedes Vito which is then adapted by our skilled technicians and fabricators to manufacture an IVA approved vehicle.
Although using a compact chassis, the Small Accessible Minibus can hold one full size wheelchair and standard seating for three (using the front row which includes driver). Alternatively the vehicle can be configured to carry a single wheelchair to increase standard seating.
Due to the size of the vehicle, manual telescopic ramps are used to facilitate boarding and alighting of any wheelchairs. The ramps are included in the price of any Small Accessible Minibus purchased from Minibus world. In addition we supply a set of type approved wheelchair restraints for further on vehicle safety. However, due to our experience and professional technicians, as an option we can fit an electric lift to a Small Accessible Minibus as an extra.
Our Small Wheelchair Accessible Minibus range is fully flexible with removable seating. As a result, if the vehicle isn’t being used for wheelchair transport, it can be configured for up to eight standard seats plus one for the driver. It is worth noting that a Small Accessible Minibus cannot be fitted with an electric ramp, if required you would require a compact Minibus or larger.
