Supporting Students and the Local Community

At Minibus World, we believe that supporting our local community goes far beyond providing reliable transport. It’s about investing in young people, creating opportunities, and building relationships that make a real difference. That’s why we’re proud to work closely with local schools like Ormiston Horizon Academy, offering apprenticeships, work experience, industry insights, and practical support that help students discover their strengths and prepare for the future. Our commitment to education and community partnership is at the heart of what we do, and we’re delighted to share the positive impact this collaboration continues to create.

Partner School Spotlight: Ormiston Horizon Academy

To highlight the impact of this partnership from the school’s perspective, here’s what Ormiston Horizon Academy had to say:

“At Ormiston Horizon Academy, we are proud to work closely with CVM World, a partnership that has been invaluable in strengthening our community connections. CVM World has provided our Year 10 students with meaningful and practical work experience placements in areas such as Mechanics, Electrics, Paint Spraying, and Coach Building. This support has given our students the opportunity not only to gain hands-on experience but also to return for voluntary placements during the holidays, further enriching their skills and confidence.

In addition, CVM World has supported our Year 8 students through an engaging Industry Day, where a small group explored the company and learned about the wide range of roles available, from shop floor positions to office-based careers.

Our partnership is further strengthened through the team at CVM World, who has generously provided our school with useful resources. From notepads to timber, which have been invaluable to our Design and Technology department. CVM World have also facilitated one-day work placements for some of our more dependent learners, providing them with tailored opportunities to experience the workplace.

We are extremely grateful for the community relationship we have developed with CVM World and hope to continue building and strengthening this partnership in the future. Their ongoing support is helping our students develop practical skills and career insights that will benefit them for years to come.”
