Part 2 of our Top 10 Minibus Day Trips in Cheshire. If you haven’t already read part one you can find it HERE. At Minibus World our drivers, customers and employees all share memorable Minibus moments, so we thought why not share those experiences with a wider audience.
You don’t have to have a Minibus to enjoy these day trips – but you’ll always have more fun with a group of friends, colleagues or schoolmates.
If you’re a petrolhead then Oulton Park is the place for you. Touring Cars, Superbikes, Classics, Supercars and Family Days are all part of the race calendar. Get up close and personal with the drivers and cars with a pit walk – the atmosphere is open and welcoming, perfect if you are new to motorsport.
There are plenty of facilities on site from food and drink to accessibility and corporate hospitality. Each event is usually supported with a merchandise market to buy a memento. Parking is easy and you can even camp at some events.
Escape to the forest in the heart of Cheshire. Delamere Forest has running and walking woodland trails, plus it offers an off-road mobility scooter trail (you can hire a scooter if you don’t have one). Minibus parking costs £12 (at point of writing) with assistance dogs welcome, cycle hire available and other activities including Go Ape and Glamping Pods.
A Café is available for refreshments and food – after you have worked up an appetite with a walk or bike ride.
An underwater world above ground in Cheshire, near to Cheshire Oaks Outlet Village (also in our top 10). Blue Planet is a must for budding marine biologists of any age. From the spectacular Sand Tiger Shark to Giant Octopus, Blacktip Reef Shark to Piranha – the fish will take your breath away.
Feeling brave? Then book a shark diving experience and get close up to the Apex predators of the sea. Not so brave? Then have a coffee and a cake then take a look at the Clownfish (Finding Nemo to you and me).
Step back into the Tudor age with a visit to Little Moreton Hall, just south of Congleton. For over 500 years this self styled ‘higgledy-piggledy’ house has fascinated historians, architects and the general public.
Surrounded by a moat, learn all about the lifestyle of people from the Tudor period, explore the gardens, browse the antique book shop then relax with a coffee and a cake. A real piece of history.
A family friendly theme park aimed at younger children, Gulliver’s World is located in Warrington, close to the M62 and M6. From rides to attractions, the park is full of activities to thrill and excite a younger audience. The website clearly outlines rides that children can go on based on height, so a child under 90cm can go on 13 rides, a child over 120cm can go on 30 rides, clever eh?
For groups and school trips Gulliver’s World will create a bespoke activity plan, plus they have accommodation for short breaks.
That concludes our top 10 Minibus Day Trips in Cheshire. We hope we have inspired you for Easter, May Bank Holiday and Summer. And if you are thinking ‘we need a Minibus for these trips’ then you know where to come!
