Administration and Customer Services Assistant at Minibus World

Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire
Salary - TBC
Full-Time, Monday – Friday (Monday – Thursday 9.00 – 5.00 and Friday 9.00 – 4.00)

We are looking for an Administration and Customer Services Assistant to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks as well as deal with customer services issues as they arise.

Minibus World Ltd is a rapidly growing family-run 2nd stage motor-vehicle manufacturer converting vans to minibuses. Our customers include Schools, Charities, Care Homes, Taxi Firms and Voluntary Organisations.

Duties and Responsibilities
  •   Office admin including scanning, filing, data entry and DVLA/DVSA administration
  •   Covering reception when needed and greet guests as soon as they arrive at the office
  •   Providing basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
  •   Processing and recording staff holiday requests
  •   Advertising vacancies
  •   Performing other clerical/administrative duties as required
In addition to general administration tasks outlined above, the successful candidate will have specific responsibility for the following:

Customer Services
  •   Dealing with incoming issues and complaints
  •   Arranging for work to be carried out either within our workshop or through external suppliers
  •   Ensuring that all issues are effectively dealt with and that the customer is kept informed throughout the process
  •   Producing and processing invoices where necessary for work completed
Vehicle Advertising
  •   Gathering vehicle specifications and photographs on arrival and updating the database
  •   Ensuring that all descriptions for retail vehicles are produced promptly and that all vehicles are advertised on all platforms (Company website, eBay, Auto Trade Mail etc)
To be successful, you should have good inter-personal skills and a positive attitude as this role also has a significant customer element. Ultimately, your duties and responsibilities are to ensure that all administrative tasks are completed to the highest quality standards and that all customer services issues are dealt with swiftly and effectively. Excellent verbal, written and organisational skills are essential and the ideal candidate will also be personable, cooperative, have good inter-personal skills with a flexible attitude to work. A good working knowledge of Microsoft and competent computer skills are also important.

Sales Executive

Minibus World Ltd is a rapidly growing family-run 2nd stage motor-vehicle manufacturer converting vans to minibuses and selling high quality used vehicles. We are a Peugeot Motor Company approved converter and our customers include the Education, Care, Charity and Voluntary sectors.

We require a Sales Executive to help with the tasks listed below. Commercial vehicle sales experience is desirable but not essential as full job-specific training will be given. Higher importance will be allocated to the general skills and qualities required in the paragraph below.

Excellent verbal, written and organisational skills are essential and the ideal candidate will also be personable, cooperative and flexible as well as tenacious and efficient. A good working knowledge of Microsoft and competent computer skills are also important.

Typical tasks might include:
  •   Identify and develop relationships with new and existing customers
  •   Develop a referral system for existing customers
  •   Brand identity enhancement / professional face of the company
  •   Competitor research
  •   Appointment booking and provision of nationwide vehicle demonstrations

Bench Joiner at Minibus World Ltd

Salary - £9.75 per hour
Full-Time, Monday – Friday (Monday – Thursday 8.00 – 4.30 and Friday 8.00 – 1.00)

Minibus World Ltd is a rapidly growing family-run 2nd stage motor-vehicle manufacturer converting vans to minibuses. Our customers include Schools, Charities, Care Homes, Taxi Firms and Voluntary Organisations.

We require a Bench Joiner / Trimmer to support the growth of the company. Joinery skills are essential for the position as you will be making luggage racks, bespoke panels and window surrounds for minibus conversions. Other skills might include trimming, window and seat fitting.

Essential Skills
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Experience operating a range of woodworking machines
  • Competent operating a range of hand power tools and air tools
  • Ability to work accurately to strict deadlines
  • Ability to work efficiently either on your own or as part of a team
  • Health and safety aware
The ideal candidate will come from a time served and college trained apprenticeship in a relevant trade.

Coachbuilder Position

Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire
Salary - £9.75 to £11 per hour depending on experience
Full Time (39 hours), Monday – Friday (Monday – Thursday 8.00am to 4.30pm and Friday 8.00am – 1.00pm)

You must have experience of light commercial vehicle conversions / van conversions. Experience of window and seat fitting would be an advantage but not essential. Other skills could include joinery, carpet trimming or general engineering/sheet metal work. You should have good hand to eye coordination, be good with hand tools, be a hard-working team player and have a positive can-do attitude. An excellent work ethic is essential.
