Panel Beater at CVM World

Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire
Salary - Negotiable depending on experience
Full-time, permanent (Monday to Thursday 8.00-4.30pm and Friday 8.00-1.00pm)

CVM World is a rapidly growing family-run 2nd stage motor-vehicle manufacturer converting vans and selling high quality used vehicles. We are a manufacturer of Peugeot and Ford approved van conversions and our customers include the Construction, Education, Care, Charity and Voluntary sectors.

We are looking for an experienced Panel Beater to join our team in Knypersley. We specialise in converting panel vans into a range of products and we build on new and high-quality used vehicles from all manufacturers. It is an exciting time to join the company as we have recently expanded into the rapidly growing campervan and welfare van market. In addition to this, we have launched our own customised version of the Ford Ranger.

Key tasks:
  •   Stripping and refitting vehicle components
  •   The repair or replacement of vehicle panels
  •   Ensuring that all work carried out meets acceptable safety and quality standards
  •   Keeping all work areas clean and tidy, free from hazards and compliant with current H&S legislation
  •   Accurately reporting all components, materials and consumables used
  •   Supporting the body shop supervisor to help ensure that the workshop runs efficiently and that all deadlines are met
  •   Other duties and responsibilities as required
Skills and experience:
  •   A minimum of 5 years’ experience working within a bodyshop/ accident repair centre as a panel beater
  •   ATA or NVQ Qualified or qualified through time served
  •   Conversant with the requirements of BS10125 (this is desirable but not essential)

Mechanic at CVM World

Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire
Salary - Negotiable depending on experience
Full-Time, 39 hours. Monday – Friday (Monday – Thursday 7.30 – 4.00 and Friday 7.30 – 1.00)

CVM World is a rapidly growing family-run 2nd stage motor-vehicle manufacturer, converting vans to minibuses, welfare vehicles and campervans as well as selling high quality used vehicles. Our customers include the Construction, Education, Care, Charity and Voluntary sectors.

We require a mechanic to join our busy team. The successful applicant will be a vehicle mechanic and will have a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, City & Guilds Level 2, equivalent in an engineering discipline or at least 5 years’ practical experience in a garage environment.

Day-to-day duties:
  • Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance to a high standard
  • Inspecting vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately
  • Repairing or replacing broken or defective parts and resolving defects
  • Road testing vehicles to check repairs
  • Maintaining equipment and making sure tools are in good condition
  • Following checklists to ensure all procedures are completed
  • Completing all documentation to the required standard
Essential skills:
  • The ability to work in a competent and efficient manner on your own or part of a busy team
  • Strong communication skills and excellent initiative
  • Good attention to detail
  • The ability to carry out work to a high standard and to meet deadlines
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach
  • The ability to accurately follow instructions
  • A full driving license (D1 preferable but not essential)
  • Honest and reliable

Sprayer

We are looking for an experienced paint sprayer to join our team in Knypersley. We specialise in converting panel vans into a range of products and we build on new and high quality used vehicles from all manufacturers. It is an exciting time to join the company as we have recently expanded into the rapidly growing campervan and welfare van market. In addition to this, we have launched our own customised version of the Ford Ranger.

The successful candidate will be a time-served sprayer capable of spraying vehicles to a high standard. They will have a good eye for detail as the role will also include a finishing element to ensure that all aspects of the vehicle are in the best possible condition when it is received by the customer. The successful candidate will be expected to be involved in all stages of vehicle preparation before it enters the spray booth, including light panel beating, filling, sand and masking.

KEY TASKS:
  •   Spraying vehicles/vehicle repairs to a high standard
  •   Preparing the vehicle for spraying (including light filling, sanding and masking)
  •   Finishing vehicles to a high standard (including wheels, trims, door shuts and seat bases/flooring)
  •   Ensure compliance with all operating procedures and standards (including health and safety)
  •   Supporting the spray shop supervisor to help ensure that the workshop runs efficiently and that all deadlines are met
