Part-Time Finance Assistant at Minibus World Ltd

Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire
Salary - £9.90 per hour
Part-Time (20-25 hours per week), Monday – Friday, exact hours to be discussed at interview.

Minibus World Ltd is a rapidly growing family-run 2nd stage motor-vehicle manufacturer, converting vans to minibuses and selling high quality used vehicles. Our customers include the Education, Care, Charity and Voluntary sectors.

As a rapidly growing business we require a finance assistant with at least 2 years' experience to join our friendly team. You will work alongside and support our Assistant Finance Manager through a very busy period of sales and growth. It is a part-time position with the option to work flexibly between the office opening hours which are 8.30 – 5.00pm (Monday to Friday). You will be required to work 5 days per week.

Reporting directly to the Assistant Finance Manager, your duties and responsibilities will include:
  •   Purchase Ledger – processing all Supplier Invoices, matching Purchase Orders & Delivery Notes and checking prices
  •   Dealing with Accounts Payable queries and resolving any issues
  •   Reconciliation of Supplier Statements to Accounts Payable balances and compiling the Month End Payment Run
  •   Raise Purchase requests
  •   Sales Ledger – Raising all Sales Invoices in a timely manner and updating Credit Control document
  •   Credit Control – Liaising with clients to ensure Deposits/Balance payments are made on time
  •   Daily Bank Reconciliation – Analysing the Bank Statements, processing the Income & Expenditure on Sage
  •   Credit Card Reconciliation – Analyse spend each month, matching to Invoices/Receipts and processing on Sage
  •   Petty Cash Reconciliation – Match Receipts to Expenditure each week and process on Sage
  •   Control of stock levels
  •   Supporting stock audits
  •   Liaise with internal departments
  •   Supporting the Assistant Finance Manager with ad-hoc exercises
The successful candidate will have strong administrative skills with a background in finance/accounts. You must have the ability to manage your time effectively, work well as part of team and have great attention to detail. Experience of databases is an advantage but not an essential requirement.

  •   Good IT skills
Role and Requirements
As well as experience in a finance related role, the successful candidate will have achieved passes in Maths & English GCSE at grade C or above (or equivalent). You will have a high level of computer literacy and experience of accounts software such as Pegasus Opera, Sage or similar. Studying towards an accountancy qualification would be advantageous (AAT for example) – although "qualified by experience" is perfectly acceptable.

Paint Shop Panel Beater/Sprayer

Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire
Salary - Attractive with Workplace Pension (after a successful probationary period).
Full Time Permanent
39 hours per week Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.30pm and Friday 8am to 1pm with 30 minutes paid lunch.

Minibus World Ltd is a rapidly growing family run 2nd stage motor vehicle manufacturer converting vans to minibuses. Our customers include Schools, Charities, Care Homes, Taxi Firms and Voluntary Organisations.

Due to continued expansion we now require a Panel Beater/Sprayer to join our Paint Shop team.

As Panel Beater/Sprayer you will have the ability to repair panels and trims, spray and finish vehicles in an efficient manner to a high standard. In this roll you will have an understanding of the general principals of spray painting and paint mixing techniques. You will be required prepare vehicles fully before painting which will include masking, sanding and other necessary preparation work.

You should be a hard-working team player with a can do attitude, good time keeping, organisation and planning skills along with the ability to work to tight deadlines. In addition, you will understand the importance of complying with all health and safety and PPE requirements.
